International Conference on Laboratory Medicine
International Conference on Laboratory Medicine

ThemeAdvancing Laboratory Medicine Through Quality, Innovation, and Clinical Integration
International Conference on Laboratory Medicine
- Participating countries
- Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Pakistan, USA
- Target delegates
- 300+ delegates: all laboratory medicine and Clinical Laboratory Services (CLS) stakeholders — faculty (pre-clinical, para-clinical, clinical), postgraduate residents, health professions students and laboratory technical staff.
- Format
- Two days · eight scientific sessions · oral & poster presentations · panel discussions
LabMedCon-2027 brings laboratory professionals and clinicians from seven countries to Birat Medical College Teaching Hospital for two days of scientific sessions, panel discussions and oral and poster presentations on quality, innovation and clinical integration in laboratory medicine.
Key organisational guidelines
- Speaker selection: each session has speakers with complementary expertise. Proposed departmental affiliations indicate the expertise required and are not confirmed appointments.
- Clinical representation: every session includes a clinical perspective alongside laboratory-focused presentations.
- Avoiding overlap: the three presentations in each session cover distinct but related areas, without duplicating departments unnecessarily.
- International representation: where feasible, invited speakers come from the participating countries.
- Practical, future-oriented discussions: panels address real-world challenges, feasible solutions, workforce development, quality improvement, technology adoption and collaboration in Nepal.
- Conference outcomes: practical priorities for strengthening laboratory medicine at BMCTH and in Nepal — diagnostic quality, clinical integration, transfusion services, emergency laboratory support, cancer diagnosis, antimicrobial stewardship, accreditation and digital transformation.
General notes
- Each scientific session runs 80 minutes: three 15-minute presentations, a 30-minute panel discussion and about five minutes for transitions.
- The session moderator facilitates the panel; the three invited speakers form the core panel, with clinical experts invited when appropriate.
- Final speaker names, affiliations, presentation titles and moderators will be confirmed after invitations.
- The organizing committee may make minor adjustments for invited faculty, opening formalities and institutional requirements.
